BCS-010
Bit Error Count System

Bit error rate Count System for Tuner of Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting
The BCS-010 is a device to measure bit error rates of MPEG2 TS signals output from tuners for terrestrial digital TV broadcasting (built-in demodulator).
- All-in-one
- The BCS-010 has functions necessary for tuner inspection process such as BER measurement circuits, power supplies and tuner controller circuits. So the device contributes to saving much working space and cost. Power supply devices or ammeters will no longer be required.
- Automatic judgment
- Pass/Fail limits can be preprogrammed for BER measurements, simplifying control procedures. Programming of inspection process to meet requests from customers can be made quickly and easily.
- Test failure display and output
- When the BER exceeds the preprogrammed test limit, the value will be displayed on the LED and the results will be transmitted along with the test data using the remote function.
- A variety of measurement conditions
- Input terminal:DVB-SPI / Serial and DVB-ASI(Option)
Data:Null Packet / PRBS
*As for PRBS, inversion and non-inversion of logic can be programmed with PN23 and PN15.
TS packet:SYNC byte + Payload / SYNC byte + PID + Payload
Clock edge:Rising / Falling
Filtering by PID:Any PID can be programmed. - Saving test results as logs
- Test results (the number of total bits, the number of error bits, BER values) will be stored in the internal memory. The log data can be written on a compact flash memory card to be integrated on the back of the main body.
