CPU-interface Timing Generator
Universal Signal Generator for Digital Inputs.
The STG-01 is a universal signal generator for digital inputs with 3-wire communications to p-Si TFT LCD panels.
The programming resolutions meets requirement for QVGA (320 x 240), and horizontal 4096 dots x vertical 4096 dots (including a blanking period).
Timing signals such as CLOCK or START and video signals can be created in the unit of one clock of the master clock, so any timing signals can be created and be edited quickly and easily.
The power supply contains 4 channel outputs as V1 to V4 and one channel output for an LED.
A maximum of 999 steps (up to 64Mbites) can be created by the combination of timing signals, voltage and signal levels and video signals.
- The single STG-01 device can generate all the necessary signals to drive an LCD panel.
- Two channels of voltages out of VEXT1 to VEXT4, and two channels of currents out of V1 to V4 will be displayed on the remote controller. PASS/FAIL Judgment on measurements will also be made.
- A model name (8 alphanumeric letters) and a step number will be displayed on the remote controller.
- Calibrations of LCD supply voltages, timing signals, video signals and 4-level signals can be easily and quickly made.
- ON/OFF of signal outputs can be programmed not only in the beginning and in the end of inspections but also during inspections.
- Templates are integrated to the accessory software to edit video patterns, such as CROSSHATCH, RASTER, WINDOW, SLANTS, STRIPES, CHESS, which enables creating test patterns very quickly.
- The number of bits and commands of the serial data can be programmed as required.
- By the use of the Smart Media(TM) signal pattern data for each model can be transferred from an external PC to the STG-01 main unit.
- Model changeover can be easily made only by replacing the Smart Media(TM).
- The STG-01 can be controlled by the external device via RS-232C port.
